CPG COMMENCES RECRUITMENT OF FRONTLINE WORKERS CPG is enlisting frontline and ‘grassroots’ workers. Following a recruitment campaign over the past week, the CPG Team are currently sorting through a large number of candidate profiles for shortlist and assessment. Through word-of-mouth and community referrals, demand for CPG projects, especially the LanguageWorks (LWP) Project, has resulted in surplus demand for additional staffing who will comprise the opening ‘cortege’ of frontline workers. CPG LAUNCHES LEARNINGWORKS PROJECT  SYDNEY, NSW 9.00am January 11, 1999 - Q Base Projects has launched the LearningWorks Project, a private tutoring network for people of non-English Speaking Background (NESB).  LearningWorks (LWP) Project which replaces its predecessor LanguageWorks Project piloted during 1998, is one of four principal programs of the Community Participation Guarantee (CPG) venture of Q Base Projects, a socially responsible investment (SRI) of Q Base Trust. TRANSFORMATION TO A PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO) Q Base Office Management announces a transformation of its operations management. As of January 1999, the business has formally migrated from a business management office (BMO) concentrated on business services, to a project management office (PMO) which is dedicated to practices and principles of project portfolio management (PPM). The PMO will supervise and drive business operations from an activity-based framework, which is considered to afford greater managerial leverage over internal economies and allocative efficiency of resource deployment. The PMO is charged with the active pursuit of key performance indicators (KPI) through judicious application of quality management (QM) and project management (PM) methodologies.
