LEARNINGWORKS COURSEWARE TECHNOLOGIES

As direct marketing and client referrals have generated a rapid increase in demand for the LearningWorks Project currently being trialled in the Sydney Metropolitan Area Community Participation Guarantee (CPG) coordinators have initiated consultation with Steve Parish Publishing to develop customised educational resources for the LearningWorks Project.

Steve Parish, who specialises in printing photographic books on nature for adults and children represents an ideal selection for the LearningWorks Project, which is now planning to package courseware technologies adapted for intensive and active learning.

Since 1998 LearningWorks Project features among the suite of ‘social inclusion’ projects at the heart of CPG’s pilot projects which are the first-of-its-kind in the world. Reinforced with CPG’s philosophy of ‘social action’ and building ‘pathways’ to Citizenship, the LearningWorks Project represents bold new forays in language, literacy and community education .

A CPG spokesperson announced, “LearningWorks has aggrandized as a result of market referrals, combined with CPG’s administrative unit willing to respond to the community demand with the coordinative effort and resourcing required.”

Integrated LearningWorks lesson plans facilitate standardisation of attainment and accredited measures of competency that lend structure to continuing learning while customised publications are anticipated to deliver a branded and stylised courseware format for learners. 

Given the very diverse age profile of LearningWorks clients, CPG say they have prioritised the preparation of LearningWorks materials, in order to get the learning format right.

All things going to plan, CPG’s LearningWorks Project intends to launch their own courseware materials later this year. CPG also plans to source related merchandise such as stationery and plush toys as tokens to ‘soft’ marketing LearningWorks to their clients.

“Steve Parish label is synonymous with contemporary Australian culture and identity. The courseware materials will help to add vibrancy, complexity, depth and breadth to the adult-education learning program,” he said.

Powder Bomber

NOXIOUS ATTACK ON BUSINESS PREMISES An unknown terrorist detonated a volatile powder bomb within the Q Base Office Management premises on Thursday evening.  The assailant presumably entered via the rear of the building and launched a plastic vessel containing a volatile cocktail of ‘white’ powder into the courtyard of Q Base Office Management.  The assailant’s powder bomb seems to have misfired as it exploded against the brick wall instead of glass containing wall adjacent. The powder bomb exploded on impact and emitted a volatile burst of foul-smelling odors. A CPG worker who was in the building at the time of the attack said that it was “terrifyingly sudden” and then belched a “foul smell of rotten eggs and rotten milk.”  Immediately, the assailant (who was not properly sighted nor identified) could be heard scurrying away from the scene.
